Today I read an article that looks at the recent use of photoshop airbrushing on the front cover of Redbook magazine.
The cover photo concerned is of 39-year old, Country singer, Faith Hill. This article is well worth a read, and you need to follow the link just to look at the before and after photos - they are unbelievable.
I feel insulted that Redbook felt this was necessary to "sell" their magazine. Faith is a beautiful looking woman and this touch up was completely unnecessary, and continues to perpetuate the myth that women must be stick thin to be attractive.
Anyway, my two cents, I'd love to know what you think.

Well it's been a long time coming, but I've created my first digital scrapbook kit which I am sharing with you.
The kit is called Japanese Garden and is made up of 10 patterned papers, one alphabet, 6 brads and 10 word arts.

I will be making the kit available in four parts, starting with the first part tomorrow. See you then!
Haven't done a digital layout in a while. Today I was reading Renee Pearson's Digital Scrapbooking 2 and learning about bevels and drop shadows, so I thought I'd put them into practice. The tag in the top right corner has a bevel edge to make it look like chipboard and the date paper bottom middle has a drop shadow to make it look 3-dimensional. Let me know if these effects worked!
