Jason #52 (C's nephew) played for the Florida Panthers tonight in a game with the Oilers. The Panthers won 3-2 after OT and a shootout. He appears to be celebrating a goal.
A few friends and I are working on a new project together, a faithbook/lifebook. A faithbook is a scrapbook that reflects how you feel about your faith and a lifebook is similar, in that it reflects how/what you feel about life.
This is something we've all wanted to do for a long time but is one of those projects that gets pushed to the back-burner. As faithbooking/lifebooking really requires no special photos (you can scrapbook without any photos at all or can use "stock" photos) we decided that this is a good project for us to do together while some of us organize our piles of family photos.
So here's my layout, the theme is my favorite creation. As I used only Pillowgirl kits, I am also submitting this as a 3rd layout for the MyScrapShop.com creative team.
The journaling reads:
"The ocean is like God's love, you can see its beginning but not its end.
The ocean is like our soul, tranquil and still or turbulent and powerful depending on the weather.
The ocean is endless like our own possibilities, that we can be whoever we want to be and do whatever we want to do."

Here are a couple of pics of I. She is starting to "talk" and smile now so I've been waiting to capture her doing just that.
Ok, so the first day of pre-school (for J) was yesterday but it's taken me this long to get the photos off my camera! For those that don't know, J is joining K at Montessori pre-school this year. As they are only 1 grade apart, they will be in the same class.

Learn how to create a scalloped tag using a scalloped brush with my first tutorial using Photoshop Elements.
1. Open file “roundframescallop.png” onto a new layer.
2. Create a new green layer above the scallop layer and create a clipping group.
3. Select scallop shape layer by clicking on it. Using the magic wand tool, select outside of the scallop shape, then select inverse to select the scallop shape out line.
4. Create a new layer underneath the clipping group and fill with white.
5. This is what you will end up with.

Here are two variation looks of this tag.
By switching off the scallop layer:
And by resizing the scallop layer smaller:
I am pleased to announced that I will now be participating as part of the MyScrapShop Elements Team. The Elements Team is going to inspire, train, teach, show neat thngs, and create some fantastic things for the users of the MyScrapShop community.
This won't affect my blog activities but now you can find me in two places. See you there!
You might have noticed a little blinkie over on the right side of my blog.... I've joined the MyScrapShop Creative Team! What this means is that twice a month I will create a layout using one of their digital scrapbooking kits.
Here's the first layout for September. It uses Pillowgirl's It's All Me mega kit.

My daughter, K, who is 4 1/2 years old today said that if she had a magic lantern like Aladdin with a genie and 3 wishes, she would wish for 1) a magic paintbrush (a reference from Barbie as Rapunzel); 2) a magic wand; and 3) another magic lantern with another 3 wishes.
Smart, huh? I wish I could have a magic lantern too!
